Kerri's Bio
Kerri Hurley, licensed and full accredited Kindermusik Educator has been reaching children through many avenues of music across Cumberland County since 1996. She has previously been recognized among the top 5 percent of Kindermusik Educators worldwide as a Kindermusik Maestro, a Top Program Award and has been a recipient of the Kindermusik Outreach Educator Award. A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kerri teaches Kindermusik in Cumberland County School Pre-K programs and has coordinated Music Therapy through a Smart Start funded grant from the Partnership for Children of Cumberland County. Kerri also loves to bring families and friends in Retirement homes together to share the joy of music! She also teaches Kindermusik through the Snyder Music Academy at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church. Active in the music ministry at Snyder where she also serves as a substitute Pianist and Organist, Kerri has coordinated and directed children’s choirs, been a part of the Handbell Choir, Adult Choir, Ladies Ensemble, Snyder Orchestra, and Festival of Keyboards Piano Concert Series. As an Early Childhood Consultant and prior Professional Development Instructor in School programs for Kindermusik International, Kerri has a passion for helping to bring music back to learning in school classrooms. Kerri shares the joy of music with her husband, twin daughters and their husbands, her son, and six musical grandchildren!
